Shivrai Technologies – a software firm founded in 1996 by two young first generation entrepreneurs Sanjay Borkar and Santosh Shinde, with a vision to revolutionize Agriculture using Information Technology solutions. In those days digital divide was so prominent that implementing this idea was an extreme challenge. But in 2001 we received a breakthrough.
2001- 2002
Designed and developed a first multilingual multimedia content for farmers in India for Government agency and grower associations. This opportunity has sown seeds for our journey towards digitization of agriculture.
2002
Conceptualized, designed, developed and executed Parivartan Network project ( 2002-2006 ) for NETRA (Network for Educational Transformation) and MKCL (Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd.) It was an innovative ICT- Agri community project, which empowered farmers through multilingual web and multimedia content and software tools designed and supported by forty partner institutions. This
project proved to be a milestone as it provided us with exposure to stakeholder requirements at macro level.
2003-2004
First prototype of Farm Management Software was created. It was demonstrated to growers and co-operatives. Our team designed and developed various multimedia CD titles on various agribusiness subjects. More than 5000 progressive farmers and institutions benefited from it. Initiated web portal sites development projects for Agricultural Universities and Grower associations. Agricultural content on these websites has helped thousands of growers as best agricultural practices.
2004-2005
‘C-GAP learning kit for farmers’ was nominated for United Nation’s World Summit Award 2005. Received Manthan Award for India’s best e-contents 2005 for ‘C-GAP learning kit for farmers’
Designed and developed a web based platform for Sugar Factories Federation for collecting sugar data from Cooperative Sugar Factories spread across state. Research & Development of Farm Management Software continued
2005-2006
Felicitated by State Agricultural University – BSKKV for our contribution to ‘IT in Agriculture’ sector. Received Manthan Award 2006 for ‘Biodiesel’ Multimedia CD for best eContent and creativity. Beta version of PC based FMS (Farm Management Software) for small growers was introduced and it received encouraging response.
2006-2007
Launched first commercial version of FMS (Farm Management Software) for small growers and deployed it over various farms. Initiated Multimedia and other IT projects for companies like Syngenta, Netafim and Jain Irrigation. Felicitated by State Agricultural University – MPKV for our contribution to ‘IT in Agriculture’ sector at Hi-Tech Agro week.
2007-2008
FMS (Farm Management Software) renamed as FarmERP. A new version of multiuser, client server application with many new features was introduced. Our interaction with farmers, farmer associations and NGOs grown substantially and FarmERP started proving useful to them
2008-2009
FarmERP Biotech software solution deployed for first plant tissue laboratory having 15 million plants capacity. Successfully completed Online Agricultural Marketplace project for CITA (Center for International Trade in Agriculture & Agro- based Industries). This project helped thousands of poly house growers to establish forward linkages to buyers. FarmERP mobile application for Grape Pesticide Selector launched.
2009-2010
Launched FarmERP Agri-Service Pro – A PC / LAN based multi user agriculture pathology services, advisory services management software suite for Agriculture Pathology Laboratories, Farm Advisory Centers and companies. Advanced and modular browser based version of FarmERP application launched.
2011
As first international exposure FarmERP reached Oman, where it was deployed for a 1400 Acre vegetable farm. Completed IT consulting project for 6000 Acre Government farm for establishing IT infrastructure over eight farm sites. Cotton Connect, UK chose us for its Tracebale – Cotton traceability project made operational for 50000 cotton growers. Selected as one of the Top 30 high-impact technology products in India in Tech30 Report, first of its kind benchmarking of product tech startups.
2012-2014
FarmERP recorded growing acceptability for its comprehensive agriculture ERP platform across the globe. During this period FarmERP reached Thailand, Turkey, DRC, Zambia and many other countries for big sized farms and plantations. FarmERP was selected by International Finance Corporation ( World Bank Group ) for its agroforestry project. Integration with other legacy Financial ERP systems were completed successfully.
2014-2015
A reputed client from Sultanate of Oman selected FarmERP for its prestigious ‘One Million Date Palm Plantation’ Project. FarmERP successfully deployed for a Plant tissue culture company in Durban, South Africa. Advanced features for fresh fruit and vegetable exports and contract farming operations were incorporated. Integration of sensors, weather station, automatic irrigation system and biometric device completed satisfactorily. FarmERP mobile android app launched.
2015-2017
Completed four year IT-Agriculture research project with Indian Council of Agriculture Research. Azerbaijan based 10,000 Ha farm selected FarmERP for managing its pivot based farm operations. Saudi Arabia based company chose FarmERP for managing its fresh vegetable cultivation and dates processing. FarmERP deployed successfully for biggest sandalwood plantation in India. Business Intelligence and GIS modules introduced.
2017
Maxell Award for Corporate Excellence in Innovation – 2017 presented to FarmERP, the innovative solution for agriculture in India and abroad. FarmERP 2017 release became most preferred smart agriculture ERP platform globally. New advanced offerings introduced – Internet of Agricultural Things (IOAT) , FarmGyan – customized intelligent advisory, FarmERP Smart Village.
